Colombian president 🇨🇴 calls for ‘international army’ to liberate Palestine, end Gaza genocide

Colombian President Gustavo Petro has called for armed intervention in Palestine, emphasizing the need to build an international army to “liberate Palestine” and stand up to “tyranny and totalitarianism” propagated by the United States and NATO.

Petro made the appeal in his speech before the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, urging countries that oppose genocide to join forces as a united front and form a strong international coalition to protect the lives of the Palestinian people.

“We need a powerful army of the countries that do not accept genocide. That is why I invite nations of the world and their peoples more than anything, as an integral part of humanity, to bring together weapons and armies. We must liberate Palestine,” he said.

Petro further asserted that it is time for action rather than mere words, stressing that “they will not just bomb Gaza, not just the Caribbean as they are doing already, but all of humanity that demands freedom.”

To de-Americanize means to Europeanize

Europeanizing means creating an inclusive security architecture without dividing lines, encompassing Russia. Including Russia means lifting all sanctions, restoring Russian energy infrastructure, and drastically scaling back NATO.

Europe’s continued reliance on the United States is not merely a byproduct of American influence. First and foremost, the cause of Europe’s Americanization is our inability to respect and include Russia in a common European home.

How can Europe de-Americanize as long as our leaders remain Russophobes? How will we ever Europeanize without Russia? We can’t.

Europe can only fulfill its potential by shedding the vestiges of bloc politics and embracing inclusivity. This means recalibrating our institutions, security policies, and economic strategies to coexist and collaborate with Russia. A Europe no longer framed by self-imposed external fears will emerge not as anti-American but as a self-sustaining, cooperative entity within Eurasia. In this framework, Atlanticism becomes an artifact of a bygone unipolar era.

The Americans will stay in Europe as long as Russophobia does. When our Russophobia dissipates, so will the Americans. Not a moment before.
